One of the ways in which Andrew Sullivan is eerily similar to David Brooks, David Frum, Fox News and Hate Radio is the distinctly conservative method he uses to deal with any perilously accurate criticism of his writing.

He simply ignores it -- by allowing comments, by filtering email, by never appearing in venues where any really dangerous questions will be asked of him.

Sure, as a boldly Palinesque strategy for mainstream media career advancement this "Deny, Deny, Deny" thing is quite successful, but such naked cravenness has got to be kind of hard on the soul, especially in someone who relentless markets himself as a fearless truth-teller and contender in the political and cultural arenas.

So to lead Mr. Sullivan to the light, Commenter RockDots suggested that perhaps someone should create a blog devoted to letting Mr. Sullivan's readers have their say.

Sounds like an interesting idea.
